I hope you will forgive me - I fear I have no tattoos to speak of or songs to offer...nor do I make the misguided assumption that perfect strangers would be remotely interested in reading that information upon opening their journals. Alas.

Life has been busy. Wedding preparations, hospital renovations...it is easy to become buried beneath it all. I am, however, looking forward to moving away from such business and attending the Mungo's benefit (so graciously thrown by the Lestranges.) Perhaps I will see you there.

I am pleased to announce that the reconstruction on the damaged wings of the hospital is going very well, thanks to the efforts and generosity of all of you. The fifth floor will be rechristened the Llewyn-Prewett Ward in memory of devoted Healers Agatha Llewyn and Martin Prewett. There will be an official recognition ceremony at a later date to honor Mrs. Llewyn and Mr. Prewett and to celebrate the completion of the repairs made to the hospital.

I am not entirely certain when it became my sole responsibility to play constable at the hospital - which, by the by, is by no means my hospital. I do hope the public understands that it was not I who called it such. Mungo's remains and will continue to be a beacon of solidarity within the wizarding community. It belongs no more, no less to me than it does to you. This sort of yellow journalism cannot be taken for face value.

I am not convinced my body is properly healing from the injuries it sustained at St. Mungo's. Granted, it has only been a matter of hours, but the usual tricks are not working. Glynnis will be asking questions soon if something doesn't change. My left leg in particular has been giving me unexpected pain. Keeping weight off of it helps, but I do not intend to sit idly while I wait for it to heal.

It doesn't help that four of the finest Healers at the hospital were casualties. Pity.

to severus snape

I require a strong potion for pain. You mentioned you work at the apothecary, yes?

My house is once again an estrogen filled environment. They've even brought home another one - a yappy little dog Delia is calling Kitty. I suppose she fancies herself the Queen of Irony. "Kitty" has already chewed through my best slippers and left a present by my side of the bed. I suspect Delia (or Glynnis) is training her.

Truly it is a shame that recent events threaten to besmirch the Gringotts name. It will prove difficult for one morning's events to permanently stain such a strong reputation, rest assured. This will pass within the week. Were I a gambling man, I'd bet all my goblin entrusted gold on it.

That is, if any remains to my name. I do not so much worry about thieves and goblins as I worry about my own wife and daughters! They are spending the next two weeks in France and I'm fairly certain the Rosier women will have emptied my account for their little excursions long before someone else had the opportunity to touch it. My youngest, Delia, writes of the Tour de France. She says the streets are alive with spectators and vendors. I believe she enjoys the spectacle, and she proposes a Wizarding equivalent. Her interest is no doubt sending her mother into near hysterics.
